Welcome to Bhagwat Katha (UK)

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (Bhāgavata Purāṇa)  11.2.29

दुर्लभो मानुषो देहो देहिनां क्षणभङ्गुर: ।
तत्रापि दुर्लभं मन्ये वैकुण्ठप्रियदर्शनम् ॥ २९ ॥

durlabho mānuṣo deho
dehināṁ kṣaṇa-bhaṅguraḥ
tatrāpi durlabhaṁ manye
vaikuṇṭha-priya-darśanam

For the conditioned souls, the human body is most difficult to achieve, and it can be lost at any moment. But I think that even those who have achieved human life rarely gain the association of pure devotees, who are dear to the Lord of Vaikuṇṭha.

All of us can make it,
but be consistent

DSC01822.jpg

On the spiritual path, it's easy to feel discouraged when progress seems slow or nonexistent. Remember, growth and transformation take time. Consistency and trust in the process are key. By maintaining a regular practice, staying committed to our goals, and trusting in the unfolding of our journey, we can continue to make progress and deepen our connection to the divine.

We've organized these impactful events for many years (JSS, YUS, BSS). Despite early challenges, we've overcome most hurdles to create successful events that inspire and uplift millions of people each year.

  • Many coach companies operate services to London and surrounding areas. You can check with National Express or Megabus for routes to Sutton or Croydon, which are both near Wallington. You can use the Transport for London (TfL) Journey Planner for specific details.

  • If you have a car, you can drive directly to Wallington High School. However, be aware of London's congestion charge and potential traffic.

03

  • London Gatwick Airport: This is the closest major airport, but it's still not necessary to fly. You can take a train directly from Gatwick Airport to Sutton, which is very close to Wallington High School.

  • Other airports: If you're coming from a different part of the UK, check train connections from your nearest airport or city.

01

  • Train is the most convenient way to reach Wallington High School from anywhere in the UK. Major cities and towns in the UK have excellent rail connections.

  • You can use a journey planner like National Rail Enquiries - This website provides real-time train information, timetables, and ticket prices.

Reach New Heights

Philosophy delves into Sambandha (relationship), Abhidheya (practice), and Prayojana (goal), revealing the connections, methods, and ultimate aim of spiritual life. Understanding and embracing these concepts form the foundation of a meaningful spiritual journey. They guide individuals in exploring their relationship with the divine, practicing spiritual disciplines, and pursuing the ultimate purpose of life.

Siddhant/Philosophy

Sadhana encompasses Shravanam (listening), Smaranam (remembrance), and Kirtanam (chanting), a transformative path of spiritual practice. Through attentive hearing, contemplation, and devotional singing, it nurtures inner purification. These practices, prescribed by scriptures, encapsulate the essence of spiritual commandments, guiding individuals towards profound spiritual realization.

Sadhana/Practice

Spiritual experience demands complete dedication. Seva, or selfless service, involves Tana (body), Mana (mind), and Prana (soul), a holistic approach that unites physical, mental, and vital energies in service to the Guru. This all-encompassing commitment leads to the attainment of Divine Bliss, reflecting the essence of true spiritual practice.

Seva/Selfless service

In the Satya Yuga, austerity (Tapasya) is the supreme virtue. In the Treta Yuga, knowledge (Gyana) is the supreme virtue. In the Dvapara Yuga, sacrifice (Tyaga) is the supreme virtue. In the Kali Yuga, "Naam Sankirtan" is the supreme virtue. The fruit of taking  lord's name simply is equivalent to the virtues very difficult to conducte in the previous three yuga.

Guru

There are three rare graces (not karmic fruits) that god graces on materially conditioned souls:

1. The human body

2. The meet with a genuine guru

3. The hunger

The soul after roamng in 86 lakh bodies (after going through the pain of life and death for neverending years) he becomes frustrated and gives up on living life. Thus the merciful god shows mercy and bestows him with a human body (so that he can attain god and become free from this cycle of life and death). We must surrender to a genuine saint (and pray to god if we haven't encountered one yet). We must have hunger otherwise we will not start our spiritual journey. Then we need to have faith too - that yes my guru and god is always watching me and he will protect me. We must then practice daily sadhana. Finally we should stay away from bad companion, not be careless, otherwise what's the point of earning if we spend a lot more.

To embark on the path of spiritual enlightenment, one must first possess a genuine hunger for truth. Only then can they encounter a genuine guru who can guide them. Through dedicated bhajan and devotion, one can gradually overcome life’s challenges and attain a state of lasting joy and fulfillment.

Sneak Peak

Have a look at all the activities planned for this year's UK's spiritual tour

Shrimad Bhagawat

Listening to the Bhagwat is an essential part of any spiritual journey. The wisdom contained in its sacred teachings helps guide us towards inner peace, happiness, and enlightenment. By listening to the Bhagwat, we are able to connect with the divine and receive its blessings.

Diwali

Diwali is the festival of lights that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, hope over despair, and good over evil. This special occasion brings about a sense of togetherness and community as we celebrate with loved ones, exchange gifts, and light diyas to spread positivity. It is also a time to reflect on one's inner light and resolve to cultivate positivity and kindness in the world.

Kalash Yatra

This ritual involves the installation of a kalash or pot filled with water, symbolizing the presence of God. It is believed that the kalash contains all the five elements of nature - earth, fire, air, water, and ether, which represents the cosmic creation. Performing Kalash Yatra before Bhagwat Katha signifies the importance of purity and divinity, which is essential to experience the essence of Katha.

Last Year UK visit

"It was both humbling and heartwarming to hear feedback from attendees who shared how my teachings helped them find solace and inner peace.
