The Saswat Bhakti Yog Shivir (SBYS) serves as a landmark event, signifying the successful culmination of a rigorous year-long initiative called the Propagation of Eternal Wisdom (PEW). The PEW program was instrumental in raising awareness about the wisdom of the Upanishads and its practical application. Over a period of one year, pravachans (spiritual lectures) spanning seven days were conducted across various districts in Odisha, with the aim of future national and global expansion.
Those interested in Vedic wisdom, particularly the Upanishads, gathered at the venue, where Pujaniya Raseshwari Devi Ji's discourses were projected on an LED display for one to two hours daily. The week culminated in a one-on-one Zoom call with the revered spiritual leader, fostering a strong bond among participants.
Individuals seeking a simple and honest life guided by a genuine saint were drawn to visit the ashram and embrace the principles expounded during the pravachans. The SBYS event, held from March 22nd to 24th, 2024, marked a new beginning for these devotees as they embarked on a journey of Sattvic living. This involved a regimen of low-spice, low-calorie meals, meditation, and silence, adhering to a predetermined routine that incorporated rigorous Sadhana (devotional practices). Witnessing a visible transformation, participants reported reduced stress levels and a more mindful approach to communication.
The event schedule included two to three daily Aartis (prayer ceremonies), three Sadhana sessions, and three wholesome meals. A special program was offered for children each morning, combining art and cultural activities. Recognizing the devotees' desire for personal interaction, Devi Ji graciously granted audiences in batches, offering her time and affection. This fostered a profound sense of connection, leading participants to revere her as "Maa" (Mother).
While knowledge can be forgotten, the profound experience of spiritual philosophy fills a void and offers a sense of fulfillment that many have long sought. Additionally, the SBYS fosters a sense of belonging to a supportive community, providing emotional and spiritual guidance in these challenging times.
In essence, the PEW program lays the theoretical foundation, while the SBYS facilitates a transformative spiritual experience. The quality of these programs is continuously enhanced through the training of adept facilitators. We acknowledge the existence of spiritual knowledge elsewhere, but emphasize the importance of seeking guidance from a genuine Guru. In our case, this lineage is traced back to Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, the fifth original Jagadguru, with Devi Ji serving as a prominent spiritual emissary.
